I throw out my shoulder and silently congratulate myself for likely being the first skier to sustain a premiere-related injury.Ĩ:45 p.m.: Lights dim and people start screaming. Sweet.Ĩ:25 p.m.: Gear toss round two: I'm go for distance this time. My confidence is building and I start questioning why I'd been holding back earlier in the night.ħ:32 p.m.: I realize I've been spelling "shredding" wrong all night. or the handfuls of swag they're carrying like firewood.ħ:31 p.m. I try to read the faces of people exiting. He ends up empty handed but everybody around him is really, really stoked on me.ĥ:34 p.m.: Lights dim for the early show and I make a b-line for the door to sneak in some grub for what will undoubtedly be a long evening.Ħ:58 p.m.: The early show empties out. My absence of one-lines is astounding, and my fear of making a spelling mistake limits me to hard hitting scribbles such as "Go big!" and "Ski Hard!"ĥ:15 p.m.: The swag toss kicks off and I find one kid in the back of the audience who's particularly excited.
