I was able to install a program and then make it disappear entirely by telling Try&Decide to abandon my changes. In my tests, this system worked perfectly on my Vista system. If you decide that you do want a new program you installed while Try&Decide was active, tell Try&Decide to write the changes back to your normal system. You don't have to bother to uninstall, and, better still, you won't end up with any of the bits and pieces that sloppy uninstallers often leave behind. If you install a new program while the Try&Decide feature is active, and you decide that you don't want it on your system after all, simply tell Try&Decide to abandon all the changes that you made while Try&Decide was active.

If you turn this on, True Image carves a new, hidden disk partition-the Acronis Secure Zone-out of the free space on your drive, and uses it to store backups. True Image includes an advanced feature called the Acronis Secure Zone. True Image's files are instead retained on your backup medium-an external drive, for example-until you decide to delete them. It's more reliable, because the True Image system backups won't be deleted unpredictably as they sometimes are by Windows. This kind of backup is similar to Windows' own "system restore" feature.
